Pracsoft FAQs
Accounts/Receipts
Q
How do I turn off Easyclaim integration when I don't use TYRO integrated EFTPOS?
A
Q
I receipted as 'Cash' and it should have been 'EFT'. Can I fix this?
A
When invoicing to 'private' accounts > Display by Receipts issued > Change Payment Type
When invoicing to 'other' accounts >Invoice to Other > Reverse and re-issue the receipt
Q
A patient has reappeared in the Waiting Room after I recorded their visit, and billed them. Why?
A
This is likely because you also use MedicalDirector Clinical, and you have instructed Pracsoft to add patients to the Waiting Room via Clinical. If the doctor opens the patient's record in Clinical, and
records a Medicare Item Number within their record, the patient will be automatically added to Pracsoft's Waiting Room. However, if you bill the patient in Pracsoft before the doctor has closed their record in Clinical, Clinical will push them to the Waiting Room again. In other words, the doctor
must close the patient's record in Clinical
before you bill them in Pracsoft. Note also that the setting that allows Clinical to add patients to the Waiting Room is found in Pracsoft's
Global Settings.
Appointments
Q
Why doesn't my doctor appear in the Appointment Book after I've set them up?
A
Online Claiming
Q
Why is my Incentive Payment not appearing?
A
- If the practitioner has 'Referral Required' ticked in their record, incentive will not appear.
- If you have not selected Medicare Plus [10990] or Medicare Plus Rural [10991], incentive will not be applied.
- In the Record Visit screen, if the practitioner has not been selected, the incentive will not be applied.
- If the patient's concession is not set correctly, the incentive will not be applied (the patient must be either under 16 [before their 16th birthday], a pensioner, a Health Care Card holder, or a Commonwealth Seniors Card holder to be eligible for the incentive).
- For DVA patients, the 'Apply VAP Incentive' option must be ticked in the Practitioner Details window.
- If this is item-number-specific, it may be that the item is not an 'attendance' item, and therefore not entitled to the incentive payment. If you feel it should be, you can tick the 'Attendance Item' option via Admin > Fees.
Q
When using Individual Signing tokens, do I need to also have HI Signing and Encryption certificates installed?
A
The Individual Signing (USB) token is for Online Claiming, and secure messaging only. For all other eHealth activities, you must have HI Signing and Encryption certificates
installed.
