The location of Microsoft SQL Server folders varies depending on Operating System and SQL version. The Database Properties utility will assist you to determine the location of your SQL instance. Each sub-folder within the location is a self-contained SQL Instance, requiring individual configuring for your Firewall and Antivirus software.

The Root Directory field of Database Properties refers to the location of the MedicalDirector HCN Database, and can be used to determine your SQL Installation folder and Instance name.

For example: Root Directory: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10_50.HCNSQL07\MSSQL\DATA\ confirms that Microsoft SQL is installed in "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server" and the Instance name is "HCNSQL07"
