Summary of changes

PI18: Proportion of Indigenous regular clients with a selected chronic disease who have a selected kidney function test result recorded.

o      Removal of age group 0-14 years (as eGFR results aren’t validated under 18 years).

o      Change of age group 15-24 years to be adjusted to 18-24 years.

PI19: Proportion of Indigenous regular clients with a selected chronic disease who have a kidney function test result within a specified level.

o      Removal of age group 0-14 years (as eGFR results aren’t validated under 18 years).

o      Change of age group 15-24 years to be adjusted to 18-24 years.

o      Updated risk categories to reflect the new guideline (the number of risk categories is reduced to 4):

•       normal risk

•       low risk

•       moderate risk

•       high risk

o      Some of the risk categories have updated eGFR and ACR result ranges.

Description of risk categories

Normal risk:

o      eGFR ≥ 60 mL/min/1.73 m² AND (ACR < 3.5 mg/mmol for females OR ACR < 2.5 mg/mmol for males).

Low risk:

o      (eGFR ≥ 45 mL/min/1.73m² and < 60 mL/min/1.73m² AND (ACR < 3.5 mg/mmol for females OR ACR < 2.5 mg/mmol for males)) OR

o      (eGFR ≥ 60 mL/min/1.73m² AND ((ACR ≥ 3.5 mg/mmol and ≤ 35 mg/mmol for females) OR (ACR ≥ 2.5 mg/mmol and ≤ 25 mg/mmol for males))).

Moderate risk:

o      (eGFR ≥ 45 mL/min/1.73m² and < 60 mL/min/1.73m² AND (ACR ≥ 3.5 mg/mmol and ≤ 35 mg/mmol for females OR ACR ≥ 2.5 mg/mmol and ≤ 25 mg/mmol for males)) OR

o      (eGFR ≥ 30 mL/min/1.73m² and < 45 mL/min/1.73m²) AND ((ACR < 35 mg/mmol for females) OR (ACR < 25 mg/mmol for males))).

High risk:

o      (eGFR ≥ 30 mL/min/1.73m² AND (ACR > 35 mg/mmol for females OR ACR > 25 mg/mmol for males) OR

o      (eGFR < 30 mL/min/1.73m AND any ACR result).

PI25: Proportion of Indigenous regular clients who have a test result for one or more sexually transmissible infections (STI).

o      Proportion of Indigenous regular clients aged 15 to 34 years who had a STI(s) result recorded (chlamydia and/or gonorrhoea) within the previous 12 months.

o      Clients must have either a chlamydia and/or gonorrhoea test result recorded within the previous 12 months to be included in the numerator.

o      Indicator is broken into 4 age groups:

•       15-19

•       20-24

•       25-29

•       30-34
